El Ministerio de Obras Públicas inició un programa de asfaltado y bacheo en diez sectores de Andrés, Boca Chica y La Caleta, en un amplio operativo coordinado a través del Viceministerio de Pavimentación Vial.
Los trabajos son coordinados por el viceministro Mélito Santana Rincón, quien dijo que los mismos son parte de reclamos de los líderes comunitarios al Presidente Luis Abinader, quien durante la campaña electoral se comprometió a llevar las soluciones viales que demandan esos y otros sectores del país.
“Estamos aquí atendiendo instrucciones del Presidente Luis Abinader y del ministro Deligne Ascención, quienes se habían comprometido a traer soluciones y dignificar la vida de los munícipes tanto de Andrés, Boca chica y La Caleta, como de otros sectores del Gran Santo Domingo y de todo el país”, dijo Santana Rincón.
Los trabajos incluyen asfaltado y bacheo de calles, reacondicionamientos de aceras, y reparación y limpieza de contenes e imbornales. Esto con el objetivo de dignificar la vida de los residentes en esas comunidades, y de brindar mayor seguridad a conductores que transitan por las calles intervenidas.
“Estas intervenciones aquí en Andrés, Boca Chica, El Valiente y otros sectores las hacemos con el objetivo de que los dominicanos y turistas que nos visitan en estas navidades puedan ver desde el aire y sentir cuando bajen, que hay un gobierno que se preocupa por la gente, y que estamos trabajando para el bienestar del pueblo dominicano”, dijo el funcionario.
Dirigentes comunitarios y residentes en los sectores intervenidos expresaron su alegría y agradecimiento, al ver que sus reclamos fueron escuchados.
“Con tanto tiempo que teníamos esperando la intervención del Ministerio de Obras Públicas y los gobiernos del PLD nos tenían olvidados, pero tan pronto asumió el Presidente Abinader, la esperanza volvió a renacer entre nosotros, y hoy vemos que el MOPC ha venido a dar soluciones verdaderas a estos sectores”, expresó Roosevelt Beltré, presidente de la junta de vecinos de La Caleta.
Dijo que en esos sectores aún hay calles que nunca han sido asfaltadas, pero que ya fueron incluidas por el MOPC para ser intervenidas con asfalto.
Entre los sectores que están siendo intervenidos por brigadas y equipos del MOPC están Paraíso, Monte Adentro; Vista Alegre, Valiente, Campo Lindo I y II, Los Unidos, Santa Lucía, entre otros.
Máximo Soriano, presidente del Partido Revolucionario Moderno en la zona, dijo que solo un gobierno como el que encabeza Luis Abinader podía ir en auxilio de esa y otras comunidades.
“Son unas 40 calles las que serán intervenidas por el MOPC, y de esas ya hay unas 20 a las que ya se les construyeron sus contenes, y se seguirá trabajando hasta completar todas las calles de los diferentes sectores de La Caleta y Boca Chica, y eso va a permitir un mejor desarrollo del turismo y de nuestra economía”, afirmó.
