El comunicador, abogado y dirigente político Eddy Alcántara instó este domingo a ambas cámaras del Congreso Nacional apoyar todas las iniciativas de recortes de los fondos públicos en el país, a fin de dar soluciones a la crisis económica generada por el covid-19, así como para dar respuestas a otras demandas sociales.
Alcántara hizo su planteamiento al referirse a la solicitud del presidente de la República, Luis Abinader al Senado de la República y a la Cámara de Diputados, a eliminar el fondo de gestión provincial, conocido popularmente como “el barrilito y cofrecito”, así como la reducción del 50 % a los fondos de los partidos políticos.
Tras 14 años de creado el llamado barrilito, y cofrecito, la decisión de asignar a cada legislador una partida para “asistencia social” sigue provocando discusiones sobre si se justifica mantener la entrega de esos fondos.
En ese sentido, recordó que muchos partidos políticos se han constituidos en compañías CRL, y que hay gente que prefieren que desbarate la organización partidaria en sus manos de promover un relevo, sencillamente por las cuantiosas partidas económicas que reciben del Estado, a través de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE).
Indicó que el hecho de que varios legisladores se estén oponiendo a la solicitud del presidente Abinader con relación al tema de reducción de los fondos a los partidos y la eliminación del “barrilito y cofrecito”, es porque no quieren que el país cambie.
Alcántara justificó la solicitud del presidente Luis Abinader, al indicar que el mandatario quiere que los recursos se inviertan en cosas que se puedan comprobar.
“Hay gente que no le importa eso… solo quiere su millón o su medio millón de pesos del barrilito para seguir bebiendo vino y seguir comiendo buenos cortes de carnes”, aseveró el dirigente político, al tiempo de destacar que la idea de Abinader es redirigir los recursos económicos, a fin de que puedan ser bien utilizados.
Finalmente, Eddy Alcántara precisó que los recursos públicos que el Gobierno necesita para manejar esta crisis económica, a causa de la pandemia del Covid-19, así como múltiples problemas sociales, los fondos tienen que salir de los recortes que el presidente Luis Abinader ha solicitado al Congreso Nacional y a los partidos políticos.–
