Santo Domingo.- El ingeniero Milton Morrison calificó hoy como histórico el gobierno que ha hecho el presidente Luis Abinader en estos cinco meses, debido a que los pasos que se han dado marcan un hito para la construcción de una República Dominicana totalmente diferente, donde verdaderamente se haga justicia.
«Me estoy quitando la chaqueta del Administrador Gerente General de Edesur Dominicana y poniéndome la ropa del ciudadano, del político y de presidente del Partido País Posible, para decir que el presidente Abinader está impulsando los verdaderos cambios», expresó Morrison, al ser entrevistado por Zoom en el programa «Buenos días», conducido por Pedro Jiménez y Ángel Acosta por Teleradio América canal 45.
Asegura que se están dando pasos firmes para lograr justicia y transparencia, tal como ha sido la iniciativa de armar un equipo de abogados para la recuperación del patrimonio público que se ha llevado la corrupción.
“A pesar del contexto tan difícil en que asumió el gobierno por la pandemia, Abinader ha impulsado la estabilidad económica a través de políticas monetarias oportunas que proyectan un crecimiento económico del 6% en 2021, a través de la reactivación del turismo y el sector zona franca”, indicó.
Asimismo, califica como positiva la creación de un plan nacional de viviendas, para la construcción de 11 mil viviendas en el primer año y 17 mil en los próximos años.
“Este gobierno ha demostrado una voluntad clara y un compromiso con el tema de la salud. Uno de los primeros pasos fue la firma de acuerdo con farmacéutica, para adquirir una cantidad importante de vacunas que ya en los próximos meses van a llegar al país. Se ha casi triplicado la cantidad de pruebas, y gracias a esto, tenemos uno de los índices de letalidad por Covid de los más bajos del mundo”, señaló.
Respecto a la nómina de Edesur, Morrison afirmó que al momento de asumir como administrador de la institución recibió la instrucción precisa del presidente Abinader de «producir los cambios con mucha eficiencia, pero con un rostro humano».
«Esta crisis de la pandemia del covid nos ha llevado a ser muy cuidadosos, hemos ido logrando los cambios en las empresas distribuidoras pero orientados a ciertos perfiles que sí contribuyan. Vamos hacia una transformación real. Las instrucciones del presidente van en esa línea».
Morrison informó que el desmonte de nominilla y de personas que se ingresaron en las distribuidoras cerca de los procesos electorales están en más de 1,600.
“De manera muy clara a esto le estamos haciendo frente, aquí no queremos botellas ni nominillas. Todo el que está aquí en Edesur tiene que trabajar», aseguró.
