Estrella reitera su apoyo a este tipo de iniciativas desde el órgano legislativo que dirige.
Santo Domingo. 08-02-2021.- En presencia del presidente del Senado de la República, Eduardo Estrella (Santiago), quien encabezó el acto, el senador Iván Silva (La Romana), presentó el proyecto “Juventud Prende y Aprende” que tiene por objetivo la creación de más y mejores oportunidades para los jóvenes de toda la geografía nacional, a través de políticas públicas que impacten este importante segmento de la población.
“Para nosotros es de suma importancia este evento; porque una de las misiones del Senado de la República y el Congreso Nacional es acercarse a la gente, y sobre todo a la juventud dominicana. Eventos como este siempre van a contar con todo el apoyo de nosotros desde esta Cámara Alta”, señaló el presidente Estrella.
Con esta iniciativa se busca vencer el inmovilismo político, social, familiar empresarial y cultural frente al conocimiento del índice de los llamados “nini”, que son aquellos jóvenes que ni trabajan ni estudian, y según las estadísticas, en el país rondan los 850,000, convirtiéndose en la cifra más alta en América Latina y el Caribe.
“Reconocemos que parte de nuestra misión como Comisión Permanente de Juventud del Senado de la República, es construir los instrumentos democráticos, capaces de garantizar la supervivencia, el bienestar, la vinculación social necesaria, para que nuestros jóvenes se sientan orgullosos en ser parte de la República Dominicana, donde quiera que se encuentren y, lo más importante, formarles para que estén en disposición de hacerse cargo de sus propias vidaspor medio de la autorrealización en sus proyectos de vida”, puntualizó el legislador Silva en sudiscurso.
El acto de apertura fue celebrado en el salón Polivalente del Senado de la República, y transmitido de manera simultánea a través de la plataforma Zoom, en los salones Bonanza y Samaná, del hotel Sheraton. La agenda contempló interesantes conferencias a cargo de Omar Méndez, director del Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas; de Carolina Mejía, alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional; de Cristian Hernández, director de Mipymes del ministerio de Industria, Comercioy Mipymes; así como del reverendo padre Francisco Benito Alvarado, Vicario Episcopal de la Pastoral Juvenil.
Otros invitados fueron, Geanilda Vásquez, ministra sin cartera del Gobierno Central; y el presidente de la Comisión de la Juventud de la Cámara de Diputados; Carlos Alberto Amarante.
Por el órgano legislativo asistieron, Eduardo Estrella (Santiago), presidente del Senado; IvánSilva (La Romana); Lenin Valdez (Monte Plata); y Faride Raful (Distrito Nacional).

I always seem to give up what I want when others want. . Not a good thing, no. Might be an honorable trait, but not “good”. The only time I would call this good is IF and only if those you always put before yourself practice the same as you.. . Too much of anything, including love, sharing and all the other positives is not healthy. Life is about balance. Give and take, share and receive etc.. . It is wonderful that you put others before yourself, but you must take into account hat you are somebody too and you are to get your share no matter what that share is at the time. Sometimes we have to put ourselves first OR we find ourselves asking the question in which you have here. We could later find ourselves resentful, unappreciated and disrespected for example. We could accidentally become a doormat to even those that do not realize they are taking advantage.
