La Vega.- El alcalde de este municipio y presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Municipios (Fedomu), Kelvin Cruz, aportó un millón de pesos al equipo profesional de fútbol Atlético Vega Real, que acciona en la Liga Dominicana de Fútbol (LDF).
Los recursos fueron entregados para que dicha franquicia siga representando con orgullo y decoro este municipio como lo ha hecho desde sus inicios en la exigente liga de primera división.
Se trata de la sexta entrega de aporte económico al equipo que representa el municipio vegano como forma de contribuir al deporte y al sano desarrollo de la juventud, dijo el ejecutivo municipal.
Cruz manifiesto que este tipo de aporte es de los que dan satisfacción porque desde «la posición que hoy tenemos hacemos lo posible para que nuestro pueblo siga manteniendo viva la llama olímpica de esta ciudad con grandes atletas y ciudadanos de buena voluntad».
El alcalde Kelvin Cruz también dio las gracias al presidente Luis Abinader por hacer un aporte superior a los 16 millones de pesos para instalar las modernas luces del estadio “El Cóndor de La Vega”, la casa de Atlético Vega Real.
Cruz expresó la alegría del pueblo vegano por ver realidad el deseo y anhelo de recibir una obra que por muchos años habían solicitado a diferentes administraciones de Gobierno.
El acto contó con la asistencia de empresario Manuel Estrella, con su doble función de presidente de Cibao FC y representando a su empresa, la que instaló la moderna y esperada iluminación.
Igualmente, el presidente de Atlético Vega Real, Francisco Deschamps, agradeció al presidente Luis Abinader y a Kelvin Cruz, «ya que hoy estamos viviendo el encendido de las luces” para poder jugar en un mejor horario con la hora fresca (de noche).
