Constanza. – El ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, destacó el importante aporte del gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader al sector agrícola en el municipio de Constanza, al duplicar la cartera de préstamos del Banco Agrícola, llevándola de 900 a 1,800 millones de pesos.
“Aquí en Constanza, de una cartera de 900 millones de pesos, el Banco Agrícola la llevó a 1.800 millones, de los cuales 350 millones se prestaron a tasa cero. Eso marca un hito en el financiamiento de la agricultura en nuestro país”, afirmó el titular de la cartera agropecuaria.
“Me siento orgulloso de estar aquí en Constanza. No he visitado en ningún país del mundo un territorio que tenga la diversidad en productos agrícolas que tiene Constanza y toda la provincia de La Vega. Aquí hay de todo, desde flores, frutas, vegetales, arroz, plátano, yuca, ganado, vegetales orientales, exportadoras de vegetales”, resaltó Cruz.
Limber Cruz también resaltó el informe de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO), según el cual en la Republica Dominicana ha ido disminuyendo el hambre. Y eso se logra con un presidente como Luis Abinader y un sector agropecuario trabajando en una misma dirección por el crecimiento y desarrollo del país, afirmó.
Las declaraciones del ministro Cruz fueron externadas en el marco de la inauguración del Festival de la Cosecha Constanza 2023, que se realiza del 13 al 16 de julio, dedicada esta vez a las colonias española y japonesa, por su impacto histórico, cultural y económico, y por su destaca participación en la agricultura a su llegada a Constanza, a partir de 1955.
